La Spezia public tranport hubs in La Spezia are the Railway station, the ferry harbor and the bus stations. These are also useful departing points to get to the renowned Cinque Terre, Portovenere and other attractions in the surrounding area.
The distance from La Spezia cruise port to train station is about 1.5 miles so you can walk, take a bus or a cab to get there. From there, you can reach the first village of the Cinque Terre in about ten minutes. By train, you can also get to Pisa and its airport in about one hour, Florence in one hour and a half, Rome in 4 hours.
With the ferry boat, when in service, you can reach Portovenere in about half an hour, and the Cinque Terre in about one hour. Buses take you everywhere but not to the Cinque Terre, which are not easy to reach on the road.
