Sentiero Liguria is a hiking trail that runs through the Liguria region and connects Luni in the province of La Spezia with Grimaldi in the province of Imperia, running more than 600 km between olive groves, vineyards and oak woods, passable in all seasons, with a constantly changing view of the sea. The tracks and “creuze“ are one of the features of the natural hiking heritage of Liguria, and not only the territory of La Spezia. Crossing the region with a network of paths is one of the best ways to get familiar with all of the Ligurian landscapes between nature, sea and historic villages, and appreciate the variety with a secured view on one of the most beautiful stretches of Italian coast.
The Sentiero Liguria is one of the paths recently tracked by the Liguria Region to experience the territory by choosing the lenght and difficulty of the stretch , or cross all Liguria and enjoy of more or less steep rural paths slopes , sea promenades , cycling trails ,as well as cities . In a word, discover Liguria on a path not imagined but real. The path ensures the constant presence of “service areas” and integrated transport possibilities and hospitality premises.
In La Spezia area, Sentiero Liguria is made of 6 stretches:
Stretch 00 Luni – Bocca di Magra
Stretch 01 Bocca di Magra – Lerici
Stretch 02 Lerici – La Spezia
Stretch 03 La Spezia – Riomaggiore with the variant of the Via dei Monti Liguri.
Stretch 04 Riomaggiore – Monterosso
Stretch 05 Monterosso – Bonassola with a cycling variant on the sea.
Stretch 06 Bonassola – Moneglia
Saturday, October 8 from 8:30am to 4 pm. Together with the guides of the CAI, it’s off!!
From La Spezia to reach Porto Venere, through Biassa, Sant’Antonio and Campiglia.
The route has average difficulty and length of 11 km.
Maximum height difference: 570m.
