The Lia Collection is a true journey into Italian painting for the discovery of European art
It is divided into thirteen rooms, which includes about 1150 works of great variety, dating from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. The paintings of the section of the so-called “primitives”, and the temples and canvases, such as those of Tintoretto, Sebastiano del Piombo, Gentile and Giovanni Bellini, stand out. The portraiture room presents works by Titian, Paolo Veronese, Giovanni Battista Moroni, Pontormo. Among the paintings of the sixteenth and seventeenth century are the works of Bernardo Bellotto, Canaletto, Francesco Guardi. The trail ends with the Deathly Hall of Fame, mostly seventeenth century, where flowers, musical instruments and architectural fragments assume moral and symbolic meanings.
This year, the Lia Museum celebrates its twenty-year anniversary with an important exhibition event of 20 works from major European museums.
The CAMeC preserves, exhibits and enhances contemporary art collections of art
It also constantly performs large-scale critical exhibitions and reviews dedicated to 20th century authors and movements, as well as events, performances and concerts. Of particular value and significance is the selection of the Prize of the Gulf, an important exhibition-competition conceived by Marinetti and Fillia in 1933. The award-winning formula has brought together about 200 works in the urban collections, with the most significant results of Italian painting. The collection of Ilda and Giorgio Cozzani includes more than 200 works from the most important movements of the 20th century’s avant-garde avant-gardes: from Expressionism and Bauhaus, to end with Arte Povera, Pop, Land, Fluxus, Body Art and Transavanguardia.
To buy a special ticket, simply visit the museum ticket office, however guided tours booking is recommended as they are for 25 participants at a time.
For the single visit is the full charge, ie € 10.00 to the Lia Museum and € 5.00 to the CAMeC.
